Bancroft residents Mike Borders and Rick Rittenhouse were sworn in as city commissioners during the city’s monthly meeting Thursday, Jan. 12.

Borders, a 25-year resident of Bancroft, will serve as the commissioner for city maintenance. Rittenhouse, the city’s former ethics officer and a 16-year resident of Bancroft, will serve as commissioner of public services.

In an additional move on the board, communications and community outreach commissioner Matt Tungate was elected mayor pro tem.

We wanted to make all residents aware that we will once again have a representative from MSD at our meeting on Thursday, June 9. If you have any questions about the MSD project or about damages including any possible damage to your home or property you should plan to attend the meeting. Additionally, we have received specific information from MSD regarding their claim procedure and we have attached it to this month’s newsletter.
